I Guess This Means God Is Crying

The first gay civil unions in Connecticut turned one year old today. The sky hasn't fallen or anything, but we are having one hell of a rainstorm throughout the state. Potential for flooding, too. Coincidence? Not likely.

I thought it retroactively caused former Rep. Mark Foley to be a pedophile.

You can hear the _very same storm_ going through Ohio at 2:30 this morning http://rhhardin.home.mindspring.com/night.train10.ram , the rain starting seriously about 34 minutes in.

I record outdoor sounds automatically every night, hoping to pick up a good decent train whistle. I can review it at 10x normal speed in the morning. It happened to pick up a weak one, followed by that thunderstorm, last night.

There's no particular point to it, except to illustrate that the internet has everything.

My best train whistle so far is from 1:30am May 1 http://rhhardin.home.mindspring.com/night.train7.ram

Nothing approaches the sound you get, though, in bed with the window open. Perhaps it needs stereo to sort out the whistle from the general night rustle.
