For all the ways my country's gone wrong since the millennium turned, it's good to know we're getting better in some ways. In light of today's Supreme Court decision, I say congratulations to all my gay friends whose marriages are finally legal throughout the country! (And, I suppose, condolences to my commitment-phobic friends who no longer have a convenient excuse to avoid tying the knot. "I wish I could marry you, honey, but the law won't allow it!"
