TSA's MIssion Creep Is Making America A Police State

In today's issue of the Guardian I spent 800 words belaboring what should be obvious: the TSA's mission creep, leaving airports to expand in bus terminals, train stations and even highways, is turning our once-free country into a police state.

They say the first step to solving a problem is admitting it exists. Great: been there, done that, but what do we do next?

Funny, I'm always glad to see new stuff from you even though you seem to be chronicling our journey to hell, one step at a time. Do you know what the deal is with the ACLU? Seems like they should be on the front lines of this war, but they are nowhere to be seen. Cheers.

Well, not sure we were ever all that free, but the TSA is really just one of many entities in the government arsenal that is quickly turning the USA into the premier police state of the world. What can we do? Given the general state of ignorance and mental dullness of most of our population, probably not much, but the sooner the whole thing collapses from debt and complexity the sooner we can create something worthwhile from the rubble. Complete anarchy is starting to look pretty good compared to what the goobermint has in store for us.

Here's another thing. Anybody who knows anything about history knows that government terrorism is the worst kind. The millions who died in the Soviet Gulags and the Nazi ovens, or a little closer to home, the victims of our napalm bombing in Vietnam - what caused that? "Terrorists", or government terrorism?

No, it's over, it was a nice ride while it lasted, get out if you can.

I expect Sidewalk Marshalls to be in full force in a matter of years. And none of this lightweight, Zimmerman-style marshalling either.

Then EVERYONE will be a police officer! But some police officers will be more equal than others.

I caught your article on the Guardian through a link on Antiwar.com. And since the comments were closed over there I just wished to express my thanks for a story well done. In fact I'm going to send the links to my friends and have them take a look at it as well. This is something I said would happen, the rise of unaccountable TSA police thuggery, when that abortion came into being. Now we see it has grown up and is oh so very hungry.
