They Captured My Soul With Their Clicky-Box Thing
EDIT: My significant other, who posted the page I linked to, took it down and replaced it with an insulting message. This is not directed at readers here; it's because when the page was also linked to at Hit and Run the comment thread sort of devolved into a series of catcalls directed at fifty percent of the planet's female libertarian contingent (i.e., the three women there). And a few jeers mixed in with the shout-outs, too. So while the link now leads to an online "screw you," it's not directed at y'all personally.
And no, none of the pictures qualified as pornographic or anywhere close.

Red with waves or curls can never have a bad hair day in my opinion. I think I'll put on Bonnie Raitt CD.
"Let's give'em something to talk about..."
I thought your pictures looked nice. If you think I am humongously fat, I don't even want to know what you thought of dhex, tho.
My hair looked great :)

Intersting. I've been out for a few days but I did see the link prior to departing. Too bad it was taken down, if nothing else it proved that there are real people involved, as the internet seems to encourage people to not be people.
That said, I read down the comments(note: I also was curious about the chin down lookin up through the eybrows picture thing, but I figured it was...well..due to other reasons) to the point where Jeff pulled the website. Sure there are some adolescent comments, but I didn't think it was that bad to necessiate what he posted as a substitute site. You've got to expect, unfortunately, some kind of stuff when you post pictures of females on the internet. Coupled with that, as you say, female libertarians are a rarity, so you're going to get attention. Perhaps there was some more going on by email or something.
I'm kind of with nostar on the bad hair day thing, for what it's worth. Not so much on the CD part though.
Well, I didn't ask him to pull the site down; he did that on his own. He was annoyed by the fact that we three women all expressed displeasure with how we looked.
Too bad, because now the only photo left for posterity is the (truly unattractive) one of me that was posted on Hit and Run.

Well, at least he took off the nastygram. Was going to quote it. Something about "Y'all have to grow up", doesn't seem to indicate that it was due to your bad hair day, but if that's yer story and yer stickin to it, who am I to argue. Personally, I've kind of grown accustomed to women complaining about how they look in pictures (two daughters plus a marraige and more than a few relationships, though in a somewhat different order than mentioned), so it really doesn't even take the time to leave tracks as it speeds from one ear out the other. My only point is that it is a good thing to show that there are women involved, and from a purely mercenary standpoint, attractive women are all the better. Same mentality as "ladies night" at the local bar.
In the firearms groups, we have the same kind of thing going on, and it's killing me I can't go to the "Women On Target" event this weekend due to prior commitments. I try to support those as much as possible (full disclosure: I'm a firearms instructor, primarily handgun, along with various and sundry other things I claim to know enough about to be dangerous) simply to provide more balance in things.
Balance is a good thing. So, perhaps he might reconsider, unless he's doing it by your request, in which case you might reconsider.
